Senior Infection Prevention Specialist
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Infection Prevention Specialist to play a crucial role in maintaining patient safety and quality care. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
This position is critical in ensuring that our hospital meets the highest standards of infection prevention and control. As a senior specialist, you will be responsible for:
* Developing and implementing evidence-based infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
* Conducting regular audits and surveillance activities to identify areas for improvement.
* Providing education and training to staff on infection prevention practices.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain accreditation and compliance with national standards.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
* At least 3 years post-registration experience in a related field.
* Immunisation certificate or working towards completion.
* ACIPC Foundations Course or postgraduate IPC qualifications.
* NHHI Hand Hygiene Auditor/Educator certification or working towards.
