**Assistant Manager, Human Resources - EL1**

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is an independent Commonwealth statutory authority responsible for the regulation of broadcasting, radiocommunications, telecommunications and some online content.

**About the role**

The ACMA is looking for dynamic HR professionals with a passion for driving organisational performance. Are you an experienced and innovative HR Manager looking to lead HR initiatives and foster a thriving workplace culture? Are you interested in working within a small agency where you can work closely with Executive and staff to deliver real workforce change?

This job may be for you!

We have some immediate vacancies and we are also looking to build a talent pipeline to fill vacancies in ACMA and eSafety HR as they arise over the next 18 months. These positions may see you expand your knowledge and capabilities across a range of functions such as:

- Recruitment & Entry level programs
- Organisational Capability (including L&D, talent, rewards & recognition, inclusion, and performance)
- Strategic HR Business partnering.
- Payroll
- Work, health, and safety (including rehabilitation case management)
- HR reporting & systems
- Workplace relations (including code of conduct and performance management)
- Sound experience in one or more key HR functions including understanding of relevant legislative and policy frameworks.
- An ability to think strategically and identify opportunities while anticipating and managing risks.
- Proven experience leading HR projects or programs to improve organisational culture and workforce management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
- A curious mind, sound judgement and ability to solve problems in a proactive, collaborative and practical way.
- High level integrity and a commitment to the APS and ACMA values including a commitment to promoting physical and psychological safety.
