Are you highly organised, detail-driven, and passionate about supporting payroll operations? West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is currently seeking a motivated and capable Payroll Liaison Assistant to join our Finance team. This position offers a unique prospect to contribute to the efficient delivery of payroll services across WGHG by supporting the Payroll Liaison Officer in managing the outsourced payroll function with Latrobe Regional Health.
As a key point of contact for payroll-related communication and documentation, you'll play an integral role in ensuring accurate and timely information exchange between both organisations. You'll assist staff with payroll queries, support KRONOS timekeeping processes, and help maintain digital personnel records all while working in a dynamic environment that values collaboration, initiative, and customer-focused service.
This is a fixed term part time (parental leave backfill) position of 32 hours per fortnight, to be worked from Monday-Friday, exact hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Our preferred candidate will have:
- High level organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support.
- Ability to operate independently and meet deadlines.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements.
- Responsible and mature work attitude.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
- Previous experience in a Payroll Environment.
- Understanding of Electronic Time & Attendance systems – experience with KRONOS would be considered advantageous.
- An understanding of Enterprise Agreement interpretation and application.
- Prior experience within a hospital or Health Care environment.
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
