The Opportunity
They are seeking a Senior Dealer / Analyst to join their Markets team to support the execution of market transactions aligned to funding, investment and financial risk management strategies. Operating in a supporting capacity alongside experienced Principal Dealers, you will contribute to strategy development, execution planning and market intelligence, researching and analysing market, regulatory, investor and government trends, whilst contributing to high‐quality research papers and recommendations.
Key activities include:
* Maintaining accurate trade capture and documentation in relevant systems, ensuring robust controls and data integrity.
* Developing and maintaining tools to monitor market movements and identify opportunities as they arise.
* Supporting cash and liquidity management by working collaboratively across the Funding and Markets Business Unit, contributing to broader strategic initiatives as required.
About You
WATC's ideal candidate is a critical thinker who can demonstrate a strong blend of the following skills, qualifications and experience:
* Sound knowledge of Australian financial market dealing processes, practices and conventions.
* Strong understanding of financial instruments across funding, investment and risk management activities.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable insights.
* Well‐developed capability with Microsoft Office (Word and spreadsheets) and market/treasury systems (e.g., Reuters, Bloomberg and Quantum Treasury Management System).
* High integrity and discretion, with a strong commitment to professional and ethical standards and confidentiality.
