Remuneration: $42 per hour (equivalent annual salary $70K–$80K depending on experience)
About the Role
Adecco is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our client, with a growing finance team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong accounts payable experience, ready to contribute to a dynamic team. The initial engagement will be as a contractor, with the potential to convert to a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and maintain supplier accounts in SAP and Xero
* Process approved invoices and manage payment runs in Commbiz
* Respond to supplier queries and manage various AP-related inboxes
* Reconcile supplier accounts and advise on overdue accounts or disputes
* Assist with end-of-month finance responsibilities
* Manage credit card administration, Concur, and intercompany queries
* Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in accounts payable and finance administration
* Experience with SAP and Xero (or similar accounting software)
* Knowledge of GST and basic accounting principles (double-entry bookkeeping, debits/credits, financial statements)
* Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and proactively resolve issues
* Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping or higher
