Co-ordinate a team of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Disability Support Workers (SWs) to assist a local gentleman in maintaining an interesting and fulfilling life.
The successful applicant will be competent in supporting a gentleman to maintain his independence within his home and the community, passionate about community inclusion and confident in taking the initiative.
You will be a team player and dedicated to coordinating and working with the support team constructively and collaboratively.
The role also involves working hands on in the holistic care of the gentleman.

About the gentleman you will be supportingHe is 52 years old, interested in The Arts, culture, and social issues.
He has severe epilepsy, apraxia, poor cognition, is non-verbal and communicates with support.
He is an accomplished writer and poet, having published three poetry books.
Epilepsy impacts him daily and this is supported by regular and PRN medication as required with the assistance of his Team of RNs and SWs.
How you'll make an impactYou will work constructively with the General Manager, coordinate the support team of RNs and SWs and work collaboratively with them to:
assist the gentleman to live a healthy, full and rewarding life.
Ensure all staff are competent in medication administration.
Ensure all staff maintain accurate record keeping, i.e., medical, clinical and general information.
Liase with and coordinate as needed with all medical and allied health professionals.
Prepare reports as required, either directly or by delegation.
As a patient, flexible and understanding individual with a supportive and caring nature, ideally with experience within thedisability sector, you'll have:
Current registration with AHPRA
The ability to listen and work collaboratively with everyone involved.
Commitment to the rights of people with disabilities to live dignified lives.
The ability to think outside the square.
The ability to accept responsibility.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and cope with the physical demands of the job
A valid driver's licence.
A first aid certificate.
Australian Residency Status or valid Australian Working Rights.
