The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and customer focused Maintenance Helpdesk Officer to join the Government Employee Housing team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for maintenance requests, coordinating day-to-day tasks, providing practical solutions, and ensuring properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for government employees.
Working closely with the Government Employee Housing Operations Lead, internal teams, and service providers, you'll coordinate workflows, support reporting, and contribute to service improvement initiatives. You'll also help ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures while assisting in maintaining high standards across the housing portfolio.
This is a hands-on, rewarding role for someone with experience in customer service, property maintenance coordination, and administrative support. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, keep services running smoothly, and support the broader goals of the Government Employee Housing program

Qualifications/Experience
* A Current driver licence is essential.
Special Conditions
* A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
* Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary appointment up to two (2) years.
Remuneration
ASO4 - $76,561 to $80,256 pa + Superannuation.
