Part-Time Bookkeeper (Experienced) — Canberra
Canberra-based | 10–20 hrs per week | $38-$40/hour
Hybrid role – on-site training, then work from home
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage core bookkeeping and payroll functions with minimal supervision.
Training will be completed on-site in Jerrabomberra, with ongoing work from home with occasional travel for meetings. Applicants must be Canberra-based
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end bookkeeping
* Payroll processing
* Preparing routine financial reports (P&L, balance sheet)
* Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Supporting audit requirements
* Identifying and resolving discrepancies independently
About You
This role is not suitable for junior or entry-level bookkeepers.
You will have:
3–5+ years' hands-on bookkeeping experience
Experience working independently (not task-only roles)
Not-for-profit and/or audit experience (essential)
Strong payroll and reporting knowledge
Confident problem-solving skills
Comfortable managing broader bookkeeping responsibilities beyond BAS or data entry
