The opportunity & how you will make an impact.
At Urbis, you'll have the opportunity to apply your skills in urban economics to projects that influence how our cities grow, function, and thrive. Based in our Melbourne office, you will contribute to evidence-based advice that supports better planning, investment, and policy decisions for urban areas across Australia.
In this role, you will analyse the economic forces shaping cities — from population growth and housing markets to infrastructure investment and employment trends. You'll work with a team of economists, planners, and property experts to translate complex data into clear insights that inform strategies for sustainable and inclusive urban development.
Your work will help clients understand the economic drivers behind land use, transport, and community infrastructure decisions. By delivering rigorous analysis and practical recommendations, you will play a key role in shaping projects that enhance liveability, economic resilience, and long-term value for communities.
You will:
As a Research Analyst in our Melbourne Economics team, you will contribute to projects that explore the economic drivers of cities and regions, helping clients make informed decisions about urban development, infrastructure, and policy.
This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for data-driven insights, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in how property and economics can help shape cities and the communities.
About you:
* Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Property Economics, Commerce, Town Planning, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
* A high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Enjoy working with data and numbers.
* Genuine interest in property, cities and urban development.
* Experience in Property and Economics preferred but not necessary.
