Based at one of Australia's leading hubs for biologics and mRNA research, you will join a highly collaborative and supportive team of scientists working at the forefront of immunotherapy and therapeutic development.In this role, you will drive original research in immunotherapy and biotherapeutics, contributing to the design, development and translation of next-generation therapeutic strategies. You will also coordinate collaborative projects, support the development of shared research infrastructure, and contribute to building the group's research capability, partnerships and emerging research profile.The successful candidate will join the laboratory of Professor Seth Cheetham at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN). AIBN is a multidisciplinary community of more than 600 researchers who work closely with industry and research partners to translate innovative technologies into real-world solutions to global challenges.**Key responsibilities will include:*** Develop an ambitious biotherapeutics program to develop new immunotherapies.* Produce quality research outputs consistent with discipline norms by publishing or exhibiting in high quality outlets.* Lead applications for competitive research funding to support projects and activities.* Work with a passionate team of biotherapeutics scientists on joint research projects and applications for competitive research funding support.* Contribute to progressing towards transfer of knowledge, technology and practices to research end users through translation, including commercialisation of UQ intellectual property.* Develop a coherent research program and an emerging research profile.* Review and draw upon best practice research methodologies.* Partner with industry leaders on novel technology and therapeutic developmentThis is a research focused position.
