Ecological Project Lead
We are seeking a highly motivated ecologist to oversee the development and delivery of ecological projects across QLD.
Your comprehensive understanding of biodiversity offset requirements will be essential in identifying, winning, leading, managing, and completing a wide range of ecological projects. You will support and lead ecological assessments, developing your skills in:
- Combining terrestrial ecology teams to assess project impacts and offset requirements
- Delivering technical reports, including offset liability assessments and management strategies
- Developing habitat criteria and offset scoring methodologies for implementation in the field
You will build relationships with stakeholders and clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities and mentor junior staff, assisting with their professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead ecology surveys, offset assessments, and related reporting components
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including peers, clients, and government agencies
- Work in a professional team as well as autonomously
- Prepare successful large tender/proposal documents
About You:
We are looking for a highly skilled ecologist with:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and 10+ years' experience
- Substantial ecological experience in sectors such as infrastructure, defence, resources, and commercial development
- Considerable consulting experience and/or a combination of consulting and client/regulator side ecology experience
