The Opportunity
Based at our Wingfield SA branch, we are seeking an experienced, mature‐minded leader to step into the role of Drivers Leading Hand.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in scheduling and work allocation, demonstrate strong leadership capability, and be confident in having crucial conversations with staff when required.
Driver - Leading Hand, you will be responsible for:
* Leading and supporting a team of drivers, along with supporting our Operations Supervisor
* Setting rosters and coordinating driver runs
* Operating waste collection vehicles such as rear lift
* Ensuring all pre‐start checks are carried out and drivers depart depot on schedule
* Assist with training new drivers and supporting ongoing team development
* Completing all records and paperwork accurately, as directed and required
About you
* Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence as a minimum
* Experience in the waste, transport or logistics industry
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Solid understanding of safety and compliance procedures
* Basic computer and mobile technology skills
* Willing to take a pre‐employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
