The Opportunity
This role allows you to support the community while strengthening essential programmes. As a Program Support Officer, you will serve as the primary point of contact for First Nations community members engaging with our services. Your efforts ensure participants feel respected, supported, and connected. This position facilitates the smooth and efficient operation of community programmes. It offers a chance to contribute to a purpose-driven team where your organisational skills directly improve community outcomes.
What You’ll Do
· Welcome participants and respond to enquiries with warmth and professionalism
· Support the coordination and delivery of various programmes and activities
· Assist with bookings, scheduling, and participant communication
· Maintain accurate records, data entry, and documentation
· Support community events and engagement activities
· Help create a safe and culturally respectful environment for all participants
· Provide practical administrative support across community programs
About You
· A friendly, approachable, and highly organised nature
· The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with empathy
· Experience working effectively as part of a team while taking individual initiative
· A strong understanding of cultural awareness and the importance of confidentiality
· A commitment to improving outcomes for First Nations communities
· Desirable experience in community services, programme support, or administration
· Current Driver’s Licence
· A valid Blue Card / Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
· A current National Police Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
