The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, this role works alongside a multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing, allied health, hospitality and cleaning staff in the provision of in-patient medical, surgical and rehabilitation services. The position is responsible for providing regional support for the Quality/Risk programs to compliment the strategic direction, daily operational processes and the continual achievement of accreditation for the hospital. The successful candidate will be an experienced clinician, an all-rounder, with highly developed interpersonal skills.
Essential Criteria:
* Current registration with APHRA
* Experience in planning, development, implementation and monitoring of organisational quality and risk frameworks
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Risk and Quality Management principles and practices, relevant legislation, Australian Standards and certification processes
* Demonstrates knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and applications
* Extensive knowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including competence in Microsoft Office Software
* Knowledge of risk management systems such as HIMS
* Commitment to patient centred care
* National Criminal History Record Check
Desirable Criteria:
* Post graduate qualifications in Risk Management or working towards same
* Hand Hygiene Gold Auditor
* Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or similar)
* Experience within a similar role
