Your role
As the Director, Infrastructure Capacity, Planning & Construction Services, you will lead the strategic planning, optimisation and delivery of prison infrastructure across Corrective Services NSW. You will drive the alignment of prison capacity with operational needs, oversee major capital and maintenance programs, and strengthen the systems, standards and commercial operations that support safe, efficient and future‐ready correctional environments. Your leadership will influence long‐term infrastructure investment, enhance operational capability and ensure the organisation can meet evolving population, security and service demands.
What You'll Do
* Lead the development and implementation of long‐term infrastructure, capacity and facilities strategies that support safe, efficient and future‐focused correctional operations.
* Oversee capital planning, major works programs and maintenance delivery to ensure high‐quality, compliant and cost‐effective prison infrastructure.
* Drive strategic business case development for major infrastructure investments and system‐wide reform, ensuring evidence‐based recommendations and prioritisation.
* Lead commercial operations and external service industries, maximising operational performance, value for money and inmate employment and skills development.
* Strengthen organisational capability by setting clear standards, improving operational systems and leading high‐performing teams across planning, technical services and commercial operations.

What We're Looking For
* Executive‐level experience leading infrastructure planning, capital works or large‐scale operational portfolios in complex environments.
* Strong strategic and analytical capability with the ability to translate population, operational and system demands into long‐term infrastructure direction.
* Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams, large budgets and commercial operations with a focus on performance, compliance and value for money.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior decision‐makers and drive system‐wide alignment.
* A commitment to ethical leadership, cultural safety, inclusion and high‐performance environments, supported by relevant qualifications and probity requirements.

Corrective Services NSW delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce reoffending and create safer communities. We manage inmates in custody and supervise offenders in the community, working closely with courts, releasing authorities and partner agencies to support rehabilitation, reintegration and community safety.
