About Metal Roofing Role
We are seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Purchasing Assistant in our dynamic roofing division. This is a varied and fast-paced position that combines operational and administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth workflows and exceptional service to our builders and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ordering Materials: Source and purchase metal roofing materials and flashings as required by the team.
* Interpreting Drawings: Translate two-dimensional drawings into three-dimensional objects for accurate installations.
* Manage Workflows: Update estimated install schedules, coordinate service requests, and perform warranty jobs and rectifications efficiently.
* Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transactions, updates, and issues related to the role.
* Communication and Problem-Solving: Liaise with builders and suppliers to provide timely updates, address problems, and find effective solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and good computer and math skills. Experience in the metal roofing industry is advantageous but not necessary. We also look for individuals who can visualise drawings in 3D and be able to learn internal systems.
