Northrop Grumman Australia partners with the Royal Australian Air Force to provide through-life-support for its fleet of 10 C-27J Spartan Airlifter aircraft. The C-27J complements the Australian Defence Force's existing Air Mobility fleet and provides airlift of people, equipment and supplies in Australia and our region.
**Your Role**:
We are seeking a highly skilled **Engineering Manager **to lead the C-27J engineering team based at **RAAF Base Richmond**. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, this is a pivotal role and requires strong leadership and management to ensure the delivery of superior engineering and technical services to the Air Force.
Your main responsibilities will include leading the engineering, technical, and airworthiness tasks as part of the platform steward.
Partnering with the Commonwealth and Northrop Grumman key stakeholders, this role will assist in developing the vision, support strategy, and execution to meet the goals of both the Commonwealth and Northrop Grumman.
**About You**:
As an experienced Engineering Manager, you will bring a high level of commercial acumen, with a desire to drive best-practice outcomes. You will have expertise in engaging with the broader Engineering & Technical Services community along with your previous history of delivering superior engineering and technical Services to ensure maximum aircraft availability.
Having had significant experience with leading and managing teams in a Defence or Civil Aviation sector, qualifications in leadership and management are important and the ability to hold and maintain a Defence security clearance is a must. Project Management qualifications and practical experience in a Defence Through-Life Support environment would also be ideal.
