Brickworks QLD are seeking a qualified and committed Maintenance Electrician to join our Austral Bricks plant in Rochedale. Reporting to the Maintenance and Production Supervisors, you will be responsible for managing site breakdowns, performing electrical maintenance, supporting automation systems, and carrying out preventative maintenance on PLC networks, SCADA, VSDs, and process control communication systems.
Shift Schedule
* Wednesday: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
* Thursday – Saturday: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm
* Overtime available
* On‐call availability required for after‐hours breakdowns
Duties include but are not limited to
* Assist with and contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives.
* Develop and maintain Standardised Work Method Statements.
* Scope requirements for change management requests, identify solutions, and action appropriately.
* Scope electrical project requirements as requested; install, test and commission.
* Ensure plant assets are fully maintained to support efficient operation of equipment.
* Effectively plan maintenance tasks to minimise associated downtime.
* Conduct proactive breakdown analysis, identify problem areas and document proposed solutions.
* Provide technical advice and support to maintenance personnel on PLC networks, SCADA and process control communication systems.
* Program, diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs, VSDs and SCADA systems.
* Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical, control and automation systems.
* Ensure high quality documentation is completed for maintenance activities, improvements and system changes.
Success Requirements
* Electrical Trade Certificate and Electrical Licence.
* Current LVR/CPR certification.
* Experience using MEX or similar CMMS systems.
* Working knowledge of AS3000 Electrical Standards.
* Knowledge of industrial safety, including guarding and safety systems.
* Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs.
* Experience with SEW drives and industrial VSD systems.
* Understanding of industrial IT networking and control system communication protocols.
