About the Role
This is a full-time permanent position based at Geraldton Port, working a rotating 4 days / 4 nights / 4 off roster with 12-hour shifts.
You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining fixed plant areas, workshops, amenities, vehicles, and other industrial facilities within a heavy industrial setting, including iron ore handling environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning of processing facilities, conveyor systems, load-out areas, and port facilities
* Maintain cleanliness of workshops, vehicles, vehicle bays, and crib rooms
* Conduct high-pressure cleaning of heavy mobile equipment and fixed plant machinery
* Work safely in iron ore dust zones, following dust suppression and site protocols
* Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuums
* Handle chemical cleaning agents in compliance with MSDS and PPE requirements
* Support environmental controls, including spill management and waste handling
* Complete cleaning logs, hazard reports, and routine inspections as required
About You
* Previous experience in industrial or mine site cleaning (iron ore or heavy industry preferred)
* Strong understanding of dust control and cleaning in ore-handling environments
* Physically fit and capable of working in hot, dusty, and industrial conditions
* Able to work independently and follow site-specific procedures and rosters
* Safety-focused with strong attention to detail
What You Will Need
* White Card (Construction Induction)
* Working at Heights certification (for conveyor cleaning)
* Manual Driver's Licence (C Class)
* Confined Space Entry (tanks, crushers, sumps – essential)
* Forklift Licence
* Skid Steer Ticket or relevant experience (preferred)
* Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
