About the Role
This position involves managing patient interactions, responding to phone inquiries, scheduling appointments, processing customer accounts, and assisting callers with general information. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records using Best Practice software and processing payments through TYRO, DVA, Workcover, and Medicare billing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patient management: greeting patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, checking and processing customer accounts, and assisting callers with general information
* Maintenance of patient records using Best Practice software
* Processing payments using TYRO, DVA, Workcover, and Medicare billing systems
* General upkeep of the reception area and doctors' consulting rooms
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 12 months experience as a medical receptionist. Familiarity with Best Practice software and payment processing systems is highly desirable. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
