Clinical Nurse - Quality and Risk/Infection Control at Healthscope
Responsibilities
* Position responsibilities include providing support for the Quality/Risk and Infection Control programs to complement the strategic direction, daily operational processes and the continual achievement of accreditation for the hospital.
* Reporting to the Quality, Risk and Infection Control Manager, assist in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Quality and Infection Control procedures, practices and standards.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary team and participate in relevant committees to collect and collate data, key performance indicators (KPIs) and infection control clinical indicators.
* Demonstrate sound knowledge of National Quality Safety Healthcare Standards (NSQHS) and ACHS Accreditation System; support clinical teams to meet required standards.
* Conduct clinical audits, monitoring and surveillance as required.
* Undertake direct patient care as needed, providing guidance and support to less experienced nursing staff.
* Provide education and training to staff on relevant topics.
Qualifications
* Current Registration with AHPRA
* At least 5 years post-graduate experience and/or qualifications in Infection Control and/or Quality Management
* Experience in the Acute setting
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care
* High degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases
* Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
* Proven time management and prioritisation skills
* Immunisation certificate (or working towards)
