Elliott Gray is partnering with the Department of Climate Change, Water, and the Environment to lead the recruitment of several data analysts/modellers within the Department's Electricity Division.
The Electricity Division is responsible for managing the unprecedented change that will deliver the transition to net zero by 2050. The Division will provide advice and analysis to the Australian Government to facilitate the security, affordability, and reliability of electricity in Australia as the system transitions to a more environmentally friendly model.
**Who are you?**
You are an experienced data and economic analyst/modeler with proven experience working with large volumes of data, using popular programming languages. You will be confident with both verbal and written communication, whilst maintaining a high level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
Ideally, you will be Canberra based and have a background in the energy sector or contain relevant work experience. You must hold an Australian citizenship and be eligible to obtain a baseline security clearance if not already held.
**Some things you will be doing**
These opportunities revolve around the manipulation, analysis, and modelling of energy sector related data, to support policy writing. While also assisting in the development of new modelling tools for the improvement of future processes.
