Senior Sous Chef – Balaclava Hotel
We're on the hunt for a Sous Chef, a right hand to our Head Chef – someone able to run the show when they are not in venue, use your passion to create memorable food and run a smooth ship.
About The Role
As a key part of the leadership team, you will support the Head Chef to ensure every service is flawless. Your responsibilities include taking charge of shifts, mentoring the team, keeping kitchen standards razor‐sharp and inspiring the crew with a can‐do attitude to ensure every plate that leaves the kitchen is a work of art.
Inherent Requirements
* This hands‐on role involves manual handling and lifting (moving stock, kegs, deliveries) as part of regular duties. Applicants must be able to perform these physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About You
* Solid experience as a Sous Chef in a high‐volume pub or similar setting.
* Cooking credentials and food‐safety certifications are up‐to‐date.
* A natural‐born leader who commands respect with a cool‐headed approach.
* A serious love for creating delicious food that keeps people coming back for more.
