We're seeking a capable and proactive Legal Assistant to join our Disputes Resolution (Commercial Litigation) team, supporting a busy legal practice group. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid experience in legal administration who is ready to take the next step and contribute meaningfully in a fast-paced environment.

The role

Support the team in meeting tight deadlines and high-volume workloads, including:

* Managing diaries and appointments including travel coordination, liaising with Chambers, Clerks and Counsel
* Editing, drafting and preparing correspondence and legal documents
* Preparing and editing reports and PowerPoint presentations
* Preparing briefs for Counsel/other experts
* InfoTrack searching
* Managing the team's finance requirements including opening matters and conflict checking, trust requirements, accounts payable, audit letters, billing and reporting
* Managing all general administrative requirements including telephones, electronic and hard copy filing, mail, printing, scanning, etc.

About you

* An energetic, enthusiastic, team player committed to providing a high level of proactive support
* Organised and efficient, looking for an opportunity to be involved to provide outstanding service to the team and our clients
* Knowledge of Elite or other finance related software to manage expenses, matters, timesheets, client billing and reporting requirements
* Knowledge of Outlook to organise and manage email and calendars, fee earner availability, court dates, follow up outstanding items to ensure that deadlines are met.

If you are a law student and interested in applying for this role, you must have proven experience working within a law firm in an administrative support role and have at least 2 years left of your degree.
