Here at Y Ballarat we provide a wide range of programs and services to over 100 communities across Victoria, including rural and remote communities. We currently have over 700 staff across the state and continue to grow and develop our passionate workforce.


Our children’s services operations include the management of kindergartens, early learning centres and before and after school care. We have over 90 services across Victoria. Our Youth programs have an increased presence in Ballarat through our Youth hubs, workshops and in our ReCranked and JumpStart programs.

Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Executive Manager – Brand, Customer & Partnerships to join our Executive Leadership Team and lead the development of our brand, reputation, customer experience and strategic partnerships.


This is an exciting new role for Y Ballarat and will play a pivotal part in shaping how our organisation connects with communities, strengthens its reputation and enhances the experience of the families, children and communities we serve. The role will lead the organisation’s marketing and design team, customer experience team and stakeholder engagement functions, ensuring a consistent and trusted presence across our services and programs.


Y Ballarat delivers services to communities across Victoria through a diverse portfolio including kindergartens, long day care centres, outside school hours care programs, youth development initiatives and community programs. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will work collaboratively to support the delivery of organisational priorities and strengthen our community impact.


This role comes at an exciting time for the organisation, as Y Ballarat is currently developing its next strategic plan for FY27–30. You will play a critical role in helping shape the organisation’s future direction, ensuring our brand, partnerships and customer insights contribute to sustainable growth and meaningful community outcomes.

About You

You are a strategic and experienced marketing, communications or customer experience leader with a proven ability to influence at an executive level and drive organisation-wide initiatives that strengthen brand reputation and community impact.


You are an authentic, values-driven leader who inspires and empowers teams to achieve meaningful outcomes. You are confident in navigating complex organisations, balancing strategic priorities with operational realities, and bringing people together to deliver strong results.


You are naturally curious and analytical, using insights and data to inform strategy, identify opportunities and guide decision-making. Your exceptional communication and relationship-building skills allow you to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders including government partners, community organisations, staff and families.


With a strong understanding of brand positioning, customer experience and stakeholder engagement, you are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to an organisation that makes a genuine difference in the lives of children, young people and communities.


What we are looking for

o Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline
*
o Significant senior leadership experience in brand management, marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement or customer experience
*
o Demonstrated experience leading organisation-wide initiatives that strengthen brand reputation, customer outcomes or strategic partnerships
*
o Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture
*
o Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to provide executive-level advice and present complex information clearly
*
o Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government, community partners and key stakeholders
*
o Experience using insights and data to inform strategy, identify trends and support evidence-based decision making
*
o Knowledge of the early childhood education and care sector, community services or not-for-profit sector would be advantageous
