Due to continued growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic Hose Assembler to join our Emerald team.
The Role
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for the assembly, fabrication and testing of industrial and hydraulic hose assemblies and related products. This is a hands-on workshop-based position with a focus on safety, quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble and crimp industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings to customer specifications
* Cut, measure, and prepare hose assemblies using workshop machinery and tools
* Read and interpret work orders, drawings and specifications
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop area
* Assist with counter/phone enquiries and provide basic technical support to customers when required
* Participate in stock control, including goods inwards and dispatch
* Follow all WHS policies and procedures
About You
Essential:
* Previous experience in a mechanical, assembling, fitting, or workshop role (automotive, mechanical, or similar trade background highly regarded)
* Strong mechanical aptitude and comfortable using hand and power tools
* Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
* Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a small team
* Good communication skills and attention to detail
Desirable:
* Experience with hoses, fittings, hydraulics or industrial products
* Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
* Previous experience in a mining or industrial supply environment
