**Overview**
This Technical Application Specialist is responsible for providing the enhancement, maintenance and support of the Oracle EPM Applications in the areas of Human Resources and Payroll, Human Capital Management or Finance and Procurement. The role will develop Oracle EPM Application or EPM Cloud solution including the design, development, testing, deployment and support of custom extensions and the integration with 3rd-party and legacy systems.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Translate high-level business requirements, solution design and user requirements defined in functional specifications into quality technical specifications and technical artefacts or components, (including configuration and integrations) to meet suitable business requirements and design.
- Build, test and deploy technical components adhering to System Development Life Cycle, Development Standards, Guidelines and Agile Framework to meet business and process requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation and other relevant project documentation according the governance standards using a broad range of engagement techniques including, data and systems analysis, requirements workshops, site visits, process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints, with simple, explicit, unambiguous and concise language.
- Develop data and business models and data item content relevant to the assignment, specifications of interfaces between source and end state systems.
- Identify risks and issues with appropriate handling and escalation to meet business needs.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to peers to effectively manage operational issues to ensure continuous effective service delivery and a performance based, innovative, responsive and accountable customer focused work culture.
- Foster and sustain strategic partnerships across teams, Directorates, the wider Health agencies and relevant external agencies.
**Essential Requirements**
- Extensive hands on experience in the Oracle development tools: PL/SQL, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Data Relationship Management (DRM) and Governance (DRG), Oracle On-Premise and Cloud Planning Solution (PBCS/EPBCS) and Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR) with high level understanding of Oracle Applications Development Standards and Methodologies. Understanding of Finance and HR & Payroll area and proven experience in defining and creating solutions across various technologies such as mobile, cloud and understanding of System Development Lifecycle and different framework or methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, Test Automation etc.
- Extensive experience as a Technical Analyst working with Oracle Applications including experience in implementation, upgrade and production support Environments. Functional knowledge of Oracle Application modules such as HR/Payroll, Finance and Procurement and understanding of Sub Ledger Accounting.
- Demonstrated experience or high level working knowledge with ODI, DRM/DRG, Oracle Hyperion Planning, Hyperion reporting (HFR) and OBIEE.
- Extensive experience and a record of achievement in planning, leading and managing critical, highly complex and/or large technical solutions in a large and complex service industry organisation.
