The role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing accurate reporting to support business decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the company’s ongoing growth within the property and development sector. Preparing financial statements for directors and management, reflecting project performance and property portfolio outcomes. Conducting financial investigations, audits, and providing advice on property acquisitions, project financing, and taxation matters. Examining operating costs, project expenditure, and income generated from leasing and investment activities.
Preparing taxation returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS) for the company’s development and investment activities. Assessing cash flow and financial risks associated with capital investment and development projects. Maintaining accounting systems and internal controls suitable for project-based financial management.
Ensuring accuracy of financial reports and compliance with statutory requirements. Qualification & experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation laws Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and MS Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and organisational ability Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
