Macquarie Geotechnical is a Geotechnical Consulting / Drilling & Construction Materials Testing company working on road, rail and mining infrastructure projects throughout Australia. We maintain a fleet of modern drill rigs, support equipment and tools that are at the forefront of the industry.
We are currently seeking Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists with 2-5 years' experience to join our team.
Responsibilities
* Undertake geotechnical investigations, including drilling rig supervision and test pitting.
* Conduct geotechnical inspections such as proof roll, stripping and pile inspections.
* Assist with geophysical investigations, including seismic refraction, magnetic surveys, electrical resistivity and downhole imagery (ATV/OTV).
* Communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, sub‐consultants and clients.
* Prepare factual reports.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology.
* Knowledge and experience using gINT and Holebase.
* Understanding of AS requirements.
* Minimum 2 years site investigation experience.
* Ability to work within a team environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Numerical, analytical and observation skills.
* Ability to problem solve.
* Interest in developing both technical and project management skills.
* A current driver's licence.
