Your opportunity:

The Corporate and Finance Group contributes to Urban Utilities' purpose and vision through championing, safeguarding, and driving customer, community and shareholder value.

As a Category Manager in Procurement and Supply Chain, you will partner with our stakeholders to shape, create, and protect value by leading the planning and delivery of sustainable, integrated supply solutions. Our key services include category and strategy planning, sourcing, contract management oversight, and supplier relationship management. We are dedicated to ensuring efficient, effective, and responsible procurement and supply chain operations that drive long-term success and sustainability.

We have two Category Manager roles available in our Enterprise team, a permanent role and a 12-month contract for parental leave coverage. Categories may be adjusted across the roles to align with experience of the successful candidates. Categories may include contingent labour, corporate professional services, facilities maintenance, security, and energy.

About you:

You're a commercially minded Category Manager with experience forming spend category strategies and delivering end-to-end procurement outcomes. You thrive on building strong stakeholder relationships and driving value through category management, market insights, smart sourcing and supplier innovations. You're motivated by supporting a resilient supply chain that helps deliver high-quality services to the community.

You'll bring

* Degree level qualification in business, finance, procurement, supply chain or related discipline
* 5–10 years' experience leading category strategies, sourcing and supplier/stakeholder management
* Strong knowledge of procurement practices, standards, governance, policies and stakeholder engagement.
* Ability to integrate market, technology and regulatory insights into procurement strategies while managing risk and compliance.
* Skilled in spend management, including demand forecasting, pricing, and category management to drive value
* Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent accreditation desired.
