We have an opportunity for an Interior Designer to join the Design team in Sydney. This position will involve supporting the design team to deliver design outcomes in line with Stockland's strategic vision of creating "a better way to live".
**The Opportunity - About the Role**
This role will support the Senior Interiors team in the production of leading edge, inspiring, innovative interior design concepts, across an extensive pipeline of Retail and Workplace CAPEX projects. The projects would include (but not limited to):
- Amenities upgrades
- Food court upgrades
- Mall Furniture & landscaping
- Office Fitouts
- Customer Care Desks
- Entry upgrades
You will contribute to a culture of design excellence and be involved in a strategic manner across design; ensuring all projects deliver quality, create value and realise commercial success.
**Key Responsibilities Will Include**
- Create design presentations through a range of drawing and software skills to clearly communicate design concepts.
- Support and coordinate activities that align to the design strategy and deliver on Stockland's purpose.
- Point of contact for industry updates from suppliers/sales reps and management of materials library.
- Source samples and arrange sample boards.
- Ensure specification of finishes, furniture, FF&E selections are fit for purpose.
- Assist with review of documentation on projects to ensure design intent and Stockland quality standards and brand are maintained.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Actively engage in Stockland's sustainability programs and support the delivery of a community and environmental shared value proposition.
- Contribute to team success and organisational effectiveness through ideas sharing, innovation and continuous improvement.
**About You**
- Industry recognised Diploma/Degree in Interior Design
- 5+ years practical experience in Interior Design
- Commercial/retail and/or developer-side experience would be highly advantageous
- Creative thinker with an innovative approach to design and problem solving
- Strong understanding of design best practice, tools, techniques, market trends and product innovation
- Proficient in design software Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketchup, Autocad, Excel & Word
- Excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding and interest in leading market thinking, global trends and best practice interior design
- Ability to collaborate in a positive working team culture throughout the project, from concept to delivery
