Based at the company's West Perth head office, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a major project in the Northern Territory. The position operates Monday to Friday and includes regular travel to Northern Territory assets.

Key Responsibilities

The Tenement Manager is responsible for protecting the company's licence to operate through the effective management of mineral titles and statutory compliance. Key responsibilities include:

Manage the full lifecycle of tenements (Exploration Licences, Mineral Leases, Extractive Mineral Permits) via the NT STRIKE system.

Compile and lodge all statutory reports, including Expenditure Reports, Annual Technical Reports, and Partial Relinquishment Reports.

Review short-term and long-term mine designs, scheduling, and geotechnical stability assessments to ensure production targets are met safely.

Manage and monitor compliance with Native Title Agreements and Section 31 Agreements.

Maintain an accurate and reliable tenement database (e.g., LandTrack, LandAdmin) to track critical deadlines and obligations.

Monitor the NT Government Gazette and competitor activity to identify "open ground" or potential encroaching applications.

Conduct tenure audits and provide risk assessments for potential acquisitions or joint ventures.

Assist environmental and approvals teams to ensure tenure boundaries align with approved Mine Management Plans.

Liaise with NT Government departments, traditional owners, and key external stakeholders.

Safety, Environment and Values

Display a clear commitment to all company and statutory health, safety, environment, and social responsibility policies and procedures.

Actively demonstrate the application of Company conduct and values in day-to-day interactions with employees, contractors, and communities.

Minimise risk of accident, injury, or environmental harm and act on activities that compromise you or the company's safety, environment, or social responsibility standards.

Qualifications and Experience

7+ years' experience in tenement management, with strong knowledge of the NT Mineral Titles Act 2010.

Advanced proficiency in NT STRIKE and geographic information systems (GIS) software (e.g. QGIS).

Exceptional ability to draft formal correspondence to government departments and negotiate with traditional owners and pastoralists.

Proven ability to manage statutory deadlines in a high-risk compliance environment.

Preferred:

Experience supporting gold mining operations.

Existing relationships with officials within the NT Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade (DITT).

Degree in Law, Business, or Geography.

Personal Attributes

A "zero-fail" mindset regarding statutory deadlines.

Strong planning and organisational skills contributing to time management and prioritisation of tasks.

Ability to work and learn under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal communication and client relationship skills.

Ability to work in a self-paced and self-managed structure.

How to Apply

Submit your resume and a brief cover letter (Word or PDF) outlining your suitability for the role.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
