About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Product Manager to join our team, responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of consumer hardline products including stationery, homewares, and lifestyle products. This role is ideal for a young, hands-on professional with strong commercial acumen and a passion for innovation, trend-driven product development, and customer engagement.
You will play a key role in bringing new and innovative products to market, working closely with key Australian retailers to ensure successful launches and ongoing category growth.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end product development from concept to launch across stationery and home categories.
· Identify consumer trends, market gaps, and retail opportunities to drive innovative product design and assortment planning.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, sourcing, and logistics to deliver high-quality, on-trend products within cost and time targets.
· Manage key retail customer relationships (e.g., Kmart, Target, Big W, Officeworks), presenting new product concepts and category strategies.
· Support sales efforts by preparing compelling presentations, samples, and range reviews for retail partners.
· Monitor product and category performance, driving continuous improvement and profitability.
· Conduct competitive market analysis and benchmarking to ensure products are commercially viable and differentiated.
· Manage pricing, margins, and promotional planning in collaboration with the sales team.
· Drive cross-departmental communication to ensure smooth execution of all product launches.

Key Requirements
· 3–6 years' experience in product management, buying, or category development, ideally within consumer goods, hardlines, or home/lifestyle industries.
· Experience working with or for major Australian retailers such as Kmart, Target, or Big W highly regarded.
· Strong understanding of retail category dynamics, consumer insights, and trend forecasting.
· Demonstrated experience in new product development (NPD) and go-to-market execution.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident in customer-facing meetings.
· Highly organised, agile, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with PLM or ERP systems advantageous.
