The Department
Alfred ICU is a university attached quaternary referral centre, providing State Service for heart and lung transplantation (including paediatric lung transplantation), artificial heart technology, extra‐corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), burns trauma and hyperbaric medicine. It also provides Victoria's Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary Hyperextension Services.

The Intensive Care Unit is a state‐of‐the‐art facility with 68 beds, funded to 61 equivalents, admitting more than 3,000 patients a year.

Skills
* Post Graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing (ICU)
* ICU experience in an acute hospital (aligned with the AHPRA registration requirements)
* Current registration with AHPRA
* Passionate about delivering outstanding patient‐centred care
* A commitment to continuing professional development to advance nursing practice
