About The Role
As a Field Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring MEQ Probe's advanced technologies perform reliably in commercial settings. From installing and maintaining equipment to training operators and resolving technical challenges, you'll be directly supporting clients and field operations.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, working with people, solving practical problems, and building technical knowledge over time. You'll gain exposure to a growing technology business while working closely with clients across production environments.
Your responsibilities include:
* Providing ongoing client support
* Collecting and analysing data using MEQ technology
* Developing and updating documentation and training materials
* Collaborating with the product development team to drive continuous improvement
About You
We're looking for someone with technical aptitude, strong communication skills, and the attitude to learn in a hands-on field environment.
A connection to the meat, livestock or agriculture sector would be highly regarded, but MEQ is also open to people from broader operational backgrounds, including food production, manufacturing, processing, technical service, or other practical environments.
Most importantly, you will bring curiosity, reliability, and confidence engaging with clients and training people on site.
To succeed, you'll bring:
* Technical aptitude, ideally with experience in a field technician or service role
* Interest in software, hardware and applied technology
* Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in varied environments
* Flexibility for early mornings, late nights, and regional travel
* Confidence communicating with clients and training operators
* A proactive, team-focused mindset and willingness to keep learning
Additional requirements:
* A current, valid driver's license
* Ability to pass a drug test
* Q-fever vaccination (or willingness to obtain)
This role is ideally based in Wagga Wagga or surrounding areas, given the client base and travel requirements.
