**Who we are**
The Legal and Governance Division is responsible for legal services and advice, communications and media, governance and corporate support, as well as parliamentary, appointments and ministerial services. This includes the provision of strategic advice and services to the secretary, the executive and the business areas of the department. The division is managed by the Chief Counsel (First Assistant Secretary), and operates in a fast-paced, exciting environment. We facilitate excellent outcomes for our clients and focus on ensuring our staff are supported and suitably trained to be in the best position to take on the challenges of the work.
The Communication and Media Branch delivers internal and corporate communication and strategic communication activities in support of the department and our ministers, for the benefit of the Australian community. This includes managing the department's social media strategy and social media presence, media support services across the department and for our ministers' offices, production services including graphic design and branding, Web publishing for external-facing departmental websites, and the development of campaign and non-campaign materials.
The Engagement, Change Management and Facilitation team is responsible for providing specialist advisory services within the department, including change management. The change management advisor role is key for promoting a consistent change management approach across business groups. It requires high level of engagement skills and an ability to embed and champion good change management principles and processes across the department.
**The Job**
The role is required to assess change impacts, project milestones and undertake end user research to develop evidence-based change management strategies and implementation plans for clients. Effective stakeholder engagement, facilitation and management skills are required to ensure change is aligned against the change vision. Duties include:
- Providing change management support, expert advice, and practical assistance to business areas
- Analysing change requirements, recommending change strategies and facilitating the completion of change artefacts to achieve benefits realisation
- Contributing to the delivery and management of our enterprise change management model and services
- Engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of our enterprise change approach
- Providing strategic advice to project teams and sponsors on emerging risks and treatments to minimise impact of project deliverables on end users
- Developing productive relationships with project members and stakeholders using influencing skills to ensure they meet project deliverables whilst managing their expectations
- Managing and implementing change activities, working cooperatively with project members, business clients, HR, L&D and corporate communication staff to ensure success of all the change management levers.
- Oversight of the production, approval, and distribution of clear, concise, and consistent communication products for multiple audiences.

**Eligibility and other requirements**
**Citizenship** - To be eligible for employment with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry you must be an Australian citizen.
**Security Clearance** - This position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
**Pre-employment Check** - Your suitability for employment will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process.
