Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Food Preparation: Efficiently prepare ingredients and assemble dishes strictly according to restaurant recipes and specifications.
* Cooking to Order: Skillfully cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen team, ensuring timely and high-quality food production.
* Supporting Kitchen Operations: Assist the Head Chef with ordering kitchen supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and managing kitchen equipment.
* Training and Mentorship: Participate in the training and development of junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to food hygiene and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.
What We Are Looking For
* Qualifications: Must possess a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
* Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a proven track record in food preparation and cooking.
* Availability: Must be willing to work on weekends and adhere to a rotating roster, with the flexibility to meet the demands of our operating hours.
* Teamwork: A proven ability to work cohesively as part of a small, dedicated team and contribute positively to the kitchen dynamic.
