I’m currently partnering with a well-established and highly regarded commercial construction and property group to recruit a Financial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, privately owned business with a strong pipeline of projects and a reputation for delivering quality outcomes across the commercial sector. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function across multiple business units, with exposure to project accounting, property, and corporate reporting. Key Responsibilities In this broad and hands-on role, your responsibilities will include: Managing monthly bank and trust account reconciliations (including project and real estate trust accounts) Supporting month-end processes, including reporting and system reconciliations Assisting with BAS, PAYG, FBT, payroll tax, and other statutory obligations Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis General ledger reviews and reconciliations Assisting with year-end processes and audit preparation Supporting accounts payable/receivable functions as required Processing payroll for ~70 staff, including compliance and reporting Maintaining key financial registers and assisting with finance administration Contributing to continuous improvement and audit processes About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial accounting or audit Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and taxation requirements Experience working with accounting/ERP systems Advanced Excel and strong reconciliation skills High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and ability to liaise across the business Why Apply?
