Your next career opportunity

As the Rural Services Development Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in improving sexual health services across rural Victoria. You will have the opportunity to build partnerships and implement innovative healthcare initiatives, fostering collaboration among institutions, agencies, and individuals. This role enables you to contribute to the CERSH vision, ensuring quality sexual health care is accessible to all rural Victorians.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Operational and Resource Management: Liaise with the Deputy Director, oversee project timelines, deliverables, and risks, and provide project reports.

* Relationship Management: Build strong partnerships with stakeholders, including rural organisations and government entities.

* Communication and Promotion: Engage with internal and external partners, contribute to newsletters, and design communication materials.

* Planning, Evaluation, and Reporting: Develop project plans, provide reports, and contribute to strategic planning and implementation

You may be a great fit if:

You will have experience in healthcare management in rural environments, with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to developing healthcare initiatives and partnerships.

You may also:

* Have a relevant tertiary qualification or experience in healthcare management in rural settings.

* Demonstrate experience in delivering healthcare initiatives for clinical professionals.

* Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering partnerships to achieve goals.

* Exhibit excellent organisational and time management skills.

* Have knowledge of sexual health issues in rural Victoria.

Your new team - Department of Rural Health

The Department of Rural Health is a department within the Melbourne Medical School at the University of Melbourne. The Department is based in Shepparton, Ballarat, Bendigo (in partnership with Monash University and La Trobe University) and Wangaratta and has associations with more than 40 smaller rural towns in Victoria.

The key purpose of the Department is to provide professional health education and research training in a rural context with an aim to increase the rural health workforce.

The Department works closely with the local community and healthcare partners to ensure that we remain relevant and connected. Our partnerships underpin our teaching and research. The Department of Rural Health is funded primarily by the Australian Government Department of Health's Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training (RHMT) Program. The aim of the RHMT program is to improve the recruitment and retention of health professionals in rural and remote Australia.

The Department also receives funding for the Centre for Excellence in Rural Sexual Health (CERSH) from the Victorian Government, Department of Health. In this role you'll be at the forefront of improving sexual health services in rural Victoria. Based in Bendigo, you'll be part of projects that build workforce capacity, strengthen community action, and enhance access to vital health services. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact on public health outcomes while working with diverse communities across regional Victoria.
