Safety & Compliance Advisor
Griffith, NSW (Relocation supported)
A growing organisation is seeking a Safety & Compliance Advisor to support its regional NSW operations based in Griffith. This is a hands-on, operational role suited to someone who enjoys being on-site, working closely with leaders, drivers, and frontline teams to embed best-practice safety and compliance.
This opportunity is confidential and offers genuine scope to influence safety culture as the business continues to expand and centralise systems following recent growth and acquisition activity.
The Opportunity
Reporting into a site leader, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving safety, compliance, and risk management across transport and industrial operations. The role requires a practical, solutions-focused advisor who can build trust on the ground and influence outcomes without a policing approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver day-to-day safety operations across site-based transport and logistics environments
* Ensure compliance with fatigue management, and related regulations
* Conduct incident investigations, audits, inspections, and risk assessments
* Support and coach leaders, drivers, and operational teams on safe systems of work
* Maintain and improve Safety Management Systems, procedures, and training frameworks
* Champion continuous improvement and safety culture initiatives
* Liaise with regulators, contractors, and internal stakeholders as required
About You
* Proven experience in WHS / HSE / Safety roles
* Confident communicator who can influence at all levels, from drivers to senior leaders
* Practical, site-based approach with the ability to "walk the floor" and lead by example
* Comfortable working in regional environments and building strong local relationships
