Job Description – Sales and Marketing Manager (ANZ)

Location: Melbourne, Australia

(Primary location – travel within Australia required)

Employment Type: Permanent (Full time Position)

Employing Entity: MSN Laboratories Australia Pty Ltd

Reporting Line: Reports to Business Head – ANZCHKJ (India)

Salary Range: 200000 to 230000 (AUD) + Superannuation

Role Purpose

The Sales and Marketing Manager (ANZ) will lead the commercial expansion, market entry strategy, and business development activities for MSN Laboratories Australia Pty Ltd, with primary focus on the Australian market and secondary focus on New Zealand. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving sales strategy, partner management, pricing governance, forecasting, and commercial performance across Australia. The role will act as a key commercial interface between Australian operations and India headquarters, ensuring effective execution of business strategy locally.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Market Leadership (Australia Focus)

* Develop and execute market entry and growth strategies for MSN's pharmaceutical portfolio in Australia
* Drive business development initiatives including partner onboarding, distributor appointments, and hospital channel expansion
* Lead commercial negotiations with partners, distributors, and hospital groups
* Establish sales targets, forecasts, and revenue plans for the Australian market
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics
* Manage performance of Australian partners and distributors
* Conduct regular business reviews and corrective action plans
* Ensure contractual compliance and achievement of commercial objectives
* Strengthen long‐term strategic partnerships

3. Commercial Governance & Tender Oversight

* Provide oversight on hospital tenders and commercial submissions
* Support pricing strategy and tender governance processes
* Review commercial risks and contract terms before finalization
* Ensure ethical and compliant commercial practices
* Develop pricing strategies aligned to market positioning and margin objectives
* Lead revenue forecasting and budgeting
* Track sales vs forecast and implement corrective actions
* Provide business insights to senior leadership

5. Marketing & Brand Strategy

* Develop local marketing strategy aligned with global positioning
* Support promotional initiatives with partners
* Drive product positioning and portfolio prioritization

6. India Stakeholder Coordination (Support Role)

* Act as commercial liaison with India headquarters
* Coordinate with Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance and Legal teams in India
* Support product launches in Australia through cross‐functional alignment
* (India‐based activities are support functions, not core execution)

Key Skills & Experience

* 10+ years of senior sales & marketing leadership experience in pharmaceuticals
* Strong experience in Australian healthcare/pharma market preferred
* Proven success in business development, partner management and commercial strategy
* Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
* Excellent financial acumen (forecasting, budgeting, pricing)
* Leadership experience managing external partners
* Strong communication and presentation skills

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or Business
