Ongoing Opportunity with Quick Perm Potential | Brisbane Northside | Fitter Role in High-Spec Manufacturing
We're currently seeking an experiencedTrade Qualified Fitter to join the Exciter team at a globally recognised heavy engineering facility. This is a great long-term role with real potential to go permanent quickly for the right person.
What's in it for you:
* $51.40/hour + super
* Monday to Friday – 5:30am to 2:00pm
* Early Friday finishes
* Stable ongoing role with fast-tracked perm opportunity
* Work on cutting-edge, high-performance industrial mining equipment
* Based on Brisbane's Northside – own reliable transport required
What you'll be doing:
* Precision fitting, assembly and disassembly of Exciters (heavy mechanical vibratory units)
* Refurbishment of existing Exciter machines
* Working from technical drawings and engineering specs
* Use of tools like torque wrenches, presses, micrometers, dial indicators
* Following strict safety and quality control processes
* Collaborating closely with skilled tradespeople in a high-performing team
What we're looking for:
* Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter
* Experience in gearbox assembly, rotating equipment or precision fitting
* Strong mechanical aptitude, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
* Solid understanding of lubrication systems, tolerances, and quality control
* Reliable and punctual with a proactive work ethic
* Own transport is essential
* Forklift ticket preferred
