The Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts / HR Officer to manage and support the financial administration and human resources functions of the business.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, structure, and working closely with management and workshop teams in a growing engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance
* Daily accounting using Xero
* Managing accruals and Work In Progress (WIP) accounting
* Accounts payable and receivable
* Payroll processing and support
* Job costing and financial tracking across projects
* Assisting with month‑end and year‑end processes
Job Management & Systems
* Using Monday.com for job and workflow management
* Reporting and tracking using Excel
* Supporting internal job management systems
* Maintaining accurate financial and project records
Human Resources
* Managing internal HR systems and employee records
* Coordinating onboarding and offboarding
* Assisting with HR compliance, policies, and procedures
* Liaising with external HR providers, accountants, and advisors
* Supporting general HR administration and staff enquiries
About You
* Strong understanding of accrual accounting and WIP
* Experience with Excel and job management systems (Monday.com highly regarded)
* HR administration experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or construction
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Able to work autonomously and as part of a close‑knit team
* Professional, confidential, and approachable
