As industry leaders, we are committed to transforming global energy efficiency through cutting-edge materials science.Position Overview:In this four-week, full-time, in-person Engineering Internship, you will support the research team at Kite Magnetics with an immediate fixed-term project.
This will include assisting with the production and testing of novel magnetic and structural materials used in advanced electric motors and generator systems.
Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, this role will involve hands-on work in laboratory and manufacturing environments, material analysis and characterisation, and process documentation.
This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to build core technical skills while contributing to meaningful and impactful projects in innovative sustainable energy technologies.
This is a temporary fixed term position.Confidentiality: Protect proprietary processes and supplier information.

Key Responsibilities 1.
Assist in manufacturing, preparing and testing magnetic materials, including amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys.2.
Support material characterisation using techniques such as microscopy, hardness testing, and magnetic property measurement.3.
Observe and support the design and execution of experiments to evaluate material performance under varying thermal, mechanical, electromagnetic and environmental conditions.4.
Help maintain accurate records of material development and testing procedures per internal quality systems.5.
Assist in analysing test data and preparing technical documentation and reports.6.
Help to maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.RequirementsQualifications Currently completing or have recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline.
Experience:Key team member or team leader in extracurricular projectsFamiliarity with basic laboratory testing equipment and material characterisation methods.Personal Attributes: Honest, curious, inclusive, collaborative, transparent, and responsible.
Reliable, organised, and detail-oriented.
Adaptable to changing priorities and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Proactive and self-motivated, with a positive attitude and team-first approach.
