Position Description 
Front Office Manager – Sovereign on the Gold Coast 
Sovereign on the Gold Coast is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Office Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front office, ensuring smooth guest experiences and efficient administrative support. 
About the role: 
As the Front Office Manager, you’ll be involved in all aspects of guest services, team coordination, and front office administration. This position requires a calm, confident, and organised approach to help keep the business running efficiently and professionally while maintaining a high standard of service to guests and owners. 
Key responsibilities include: 
Managing daily banking and end-of-day reconciliation 
Overseeing guest check-in and check-out procedures, providing support to the front office team 
Coordinating bookings and managing third-party reservations from platforms like Booking.com, Expedia, and Hotelbeds 
Maintaining and updating the property management system (RESLY), including owner and tenant details 
Processing rent receipts, generating invoices, and tracking payments accurately 
Preparing reports and documentation for mid and end-of-month processes 
Managing staff rosters, leave records, and shift planning 
Coordinating inventory and supply orders including stationery, luggage tags, and kiosk stock 
Responding professionally to reviews, enquiries, and communication from OTAs and guests 
Liaising with suppliers and contractors to support operational needs 
What we're looking for: 
Proven experience in a front office leadership role within a busy hotel or resort environment 
Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, monitor revenue, and meet performance targets 
A demonstrated ability to support and implement business strategy and drive operational improvements 
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a calm, confident leadership style 
A genuine passion for guest service, with the ability to champion brand standards and team culture 
Confidence in managing third-party bookings and payment reconciliation 
Relevant expertise in using PMS or reservation systems (familiarity with RESLY highly regarded) 
Current First Aid, CPR, and RSA certifications (well regarded) 
A full, unrestricted driver’s licence 
Full working rights in Australia
