An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join a well‑established organisation within the essential services sector. Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will take ownership of the end‑to‑end accounts payable function and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely processing across a high‑volume environment.
Your new role
In this important full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering efficient and accurate accounts payable services and providing broader support to the finance function. This organisation values their culture and the importance of building strong working relationships. Therefore, you will be required to work in-office five days/week.
Your duties will include:
* Managing AP inboxes and responding to supplier queries
* Maintaining supplier profiles in line with internal controls and compliance processes
* Completing verification checks on non‑grower suppliers
* Receiving, matching and coding invoices to purchase orders
* Processing employee reimbursements
* Reconciling credit card and direct debit accounts
* Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
* Preparing and processing EFT payments within agreed terms
* Producing weekly and monthly AP and purchase order reports
* Assisting with month‑end close and audit documentation
* Providing support across the wider finance team when required
This is a varied position where priorities can shift daily, so the ability to work proactively and manage competing deadlines will be essential.
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring:
* 3+ years’ experience in accounts payable or general accounting
* Strong understanding of AP procedures and general accounting principles
* Experience using accounting software and high‑level data entry accuracy
* Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a customer‑focused approach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to support broader team goals
Industry experience within agriculture or regional operations will be highly regarded but is not essential.
