Our school is characterised by a strong sense of community; the result of a strong commitment from our parents who work proactively with us to provide a safe, yet challenging learning environment for all of our students.This positive relationship with our parents and the community, and our high-quality learning programs, has made Mullaloo Heights Primary School the school of choice in the local community.Find out more about our school by visiting mullalooheightsps.wa.edu.au or Schools OnlineThe RoleThe Special Needs - Education Assistant supports the teaching and learning of students by assisting the teacher, delivering planned education programs, and encouraging a supportive and inclusive learning environment.You would work under general supervision and guidance in completing tasks with limited discretion and judgement, to achieve outcomes determined and clearly defined by the teacher.Duties may include assisting with educational programs (including specialised programs such as occupational, speech, or physiotherapy), implementing individual or small group demonstrations. Also, the suitable applicant will ideally assist in understanding communication challenges between students and teachers and providing feedback to caregivers or parents under teacher direction.
