The Role
We are looking for a health care professional to provide specialist assessment and ongoing care of patients with acute and chronic primary care health issues in correctional campuses administered by Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network in accordance with best evidence-based practice and organisational policies.
The role is based at Malabar but includes honorary work with WSLHD (Budyari Gumada Medium Secure Unit, Blacktown Hospital).

* Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in forensic psychiatry (accredited faculty status preferred) and general adult psychiatry.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the New South Wales public mental health system and experience in and understanding of partnerships with consumers, carers and health related organisations in the non-government sector.
* Ability to carry out assessment and diagnostic interviews for the purpose of providing lucid and comprehensive psychiatric reports for JH&FMHN, Courts, Solicitors and various authorities and agencies.
