As a well established firm, they are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join the team as a Client Manager. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to manage and support a portfolio of premium clients, ensuring excellence in tax compliance and advisory services.
Objectives of the Role The primary objective of this role is to leverage your extensive experience to manage and support a portfolio of premium clients. The Client Manager will be responsible for overseeing the completion of client tax compliance and advisory work, working closely with Directors to cultivate and strengthen relationships with both existing and new clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and cultivate client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact.
Effectively manage personal workload and deadlines for clients.
Review and prepare financial statements for clients using standard procedures.
Prepare work papers to the required standards.
Identify potential issues or opportunities in day-to-day work, escalating these to Directors.
Review and prepare tax returns, including GST & FBT.
Provide taxation advisory services and advice as required by clients.
Liaise directly with clients to respond to queries or provide information as requested.
Review the work of junior accountants and provide constructive feedback.
Train and mentor junior accountants to facilitate professional development.
Assist the team in completing tasks or work assignments as necessary to meet client service requirements.
Assist Directors with special assignments or projects as requested.
Support the promotion of the firm in generating new clients and maintaining existing client relationships.
Skills & Experience
Experience working with Xero software.
Highly detail oriented and organised.
Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills.
Qualifications
7+ years of relevant experience.
