This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro‑rated to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme. This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide safe, compassionate person‑centred care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve quality care outcomes for patients and clients.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and the changing status of the patient.
- Contribute to quality health care through lifelong learning and professional development, research data generation, clinical supervision, mentoring, coaching and development of policy and clinical practice guidelines.
- Participate in relevant patient safety and quality education and deliver services in accordance with the National Patient Safety and Quality Standards.
- Complete documentation on patient care plans, progress reports, and referral practices in accordance with requirements and systematically assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care based on patient records.
- Provide appropriate supervision and/or mentoring for staff, including delegation of care to ENs and AINs according to their competence and within their scope of practice and the supervision of students on clinical placement.

How To Apply
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries to the delivery of patient care in the context of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated application of evidence‑based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person‑centred care.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
- Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
